In your skins editor, you should be able to edit part of the skin in text mode, you can use this code anywhere actually, and it should work just fine!

Why would access to the startup folder be denied to an admin account?

  3. Jason January 22, 2011 at 10:12 pm

*This is Verified as no longer working*

  4. Jason October 4, 2010 at 9:33 am

I can't get it to work either right now, but it was working a while back!

    Maybe they removed it?

  5. Jason August 18, 2010 at 9:59 pm

Dude, I was making this thing when I found out they already had this one! It's really nice because you can fit more links on the new tab page, and also see your history etc etc

I have retired Firefoc to debugging CSS and spying on headers, that's about it!

  6. Jason August 18, 2010 at 9:57 pm

I agree, I noticed in the new version of WordPress Multi User, they changed the htaccess considerably.

I'm glad it helped! It made a major difference on my blogs, where they load many images. This tip works well as a supplement to caching!

I think it must be a Java script that runs only on the main site, The mobile version is stripped down for speed and I guess they decided this feature slowed it down too much!

I like it although I hardly use it myself, it's handy every once in a while.

I should have written this article better, this app is PERFECT for converting DVDs to IPODs, and it's completely FREE!!!

Don't forget Facebook users, you can sign in to my site with your facebook account!! Just on that menu at the bottom!

  20. Jason February 8, 2010 at 10:50 pm

I wrote this post before Starburner started embedding spyware into their software.

I removed the link to their website until they remove it. It really is great software, that's too bad tho.
It changes your homepage to their own google search page with ads all over it, and it force changes it back after 15 or so mins, even after you think you got rid of it….

  21. Green_CompleX February 1, 2010 at 4:06 am

We'll I'd be glad to help! Do you think a forum here would help out?
I can get one up in a few mins, really.

I've actually thought about putting a forum up, as well as re-organizing the content on here a little better.
    Thanks for the info!

I got the skribit thing in the lower left corner, but I don't think anyone really understands how to use it. It was a little foreign to me too till I played with it. It's like a suggestion forum.

Let me see if I can get that forum up real quick, Thanks Edd!
You're probably not the only one who is thinking that, I know there's a few other readers that are in that same boat with you on things from VPN and Active Directory.

  22. Green_CompleX November 27, 2009 at 4:52 pm

    There, Invited!

  23. Jason November 23, 2009 at 12:58 pm

I’ve gone from over 100 subscribers, to less than 60, that pretty much tells me most of twitter’s traffic is junk traffic, I also get spammers trying to use my contact form to spam, I press delete and go on with life, oh after reporting their domain first. They are usually spreading the nasty malware.

So I’m leaving my invites for those who stuck it out with me, I’m really happy the rest of you stuck along for the ride!

  24. Jason November 9, 2009 at 10:41 pm

  25. Jason October 31, 2009 at 11:46 pm

Yeah Yeah I know I haven’t posted in a while, I’m working on a new guide that’s really eating up a lot of editing and research time. More so than I thought, mostly because I want it to be as accurate as possible. It’s really good though, and I’m sure many people will like it, I haven’t found anything anywhere near what I’m bringing you next, so please stay tuned!

And I haven’t forgotten you my friends who want Googlewave Invites! Google Wave activity has just really come to a standstill and I haven’t gotten ANYONE to wave back at me! It’s like being the only person on the planet who has e-mail or something.

  26. Jason October 15, 2009 at 11:38 pm

First Impression: Anticlimactic, I’m in Google Wave, and I don’t have anyone to Wave to….

I also got a Message that Invites were Disabled this weekend to make sure the system will handle all the new users. I take that as implied Monday more invites/nominations will be opened back up.

  27. Jason October 13, 2009 at 5:47 am

    Yeah I’m still waiting 🙁
I have it, Google just hasn’t setup my account!

  28. Jason October 9, 2009 at 1:24 pm

I got an upper endoscopy (Camera down the Throat)
They were just checking out the plumbing, Got a few things going on so they were taking a biopsy of something in my stomach to see what is it…. I won’t know for a week.

    My Twitter is @LarcenIII

Yeah this whole release coulda been better. I saw a bodybuilder/high schools kid on twitter who says HFL in every other word, and wants everyone on planet earth to follow him to hear him say HFL every five mins.

Yes, seriously, thats the most interesting thing he has to say, along with dropping the F-bomb at random. lawl

  29. Jason October 9, 2009 at 8:52 am

Thanks ix7, you’re absolutely right! I’ve found people on Twitter who are in wave that are completely clueless in wave, and yet they didn’t send one to the creator of Mashable, a blog that gets over 1 Million hits a day!

I think the approached the Invitation thing wrongly, but it’s not my job to tell Google what to do.

Sorry for the long time with no updates, I was in the hospital… 🙁

  30. Jason October 5, 2009 at 7:19 pm

Thanks for the great digging! I should have looked @twephanie but I just didn’t think about it. In case anyone was wondering twephanie is the girl in the featured video at the top right.

Yep, your right, Stephanie said that they were trickling invitations out over the weekend and should begin cranking them out tonight.

Thanks again for the info! Jesse Newhart rarely posts anything I find interesting, but hes got a fairly popular blog. Just another corner of the interwebs I didn’t look.

  31. Jason October 4, 2009 at 11:01 pm

Yea, I love Photos and Picasa is simply the best at Organization, quick touch ups, and backing up your photos!

    Thanks for the kind words!

  32. Jason October 4, 2009 at 10:40 pm

Yesm I’m making a new page, it should be listed under the NEWS category….
I’ll give you a FULL update! And yea, the wait is killing me too… I HAVE been invited though….

  33. Jason October 1, 2009 at 1:08 pm

Well I’m starting to think I’m the only one serious about sharing invites!
My idea was to invite everyone at the top of the list and have them invite others further down the list…. I can’t even get one myself!

I think alot of people are seriously considering selling them, which is against E-bay rules, but not on Craigs list…. hmmm….

  34. Jason October 1, 2009 at 10:37 am

Sorry guys! My invites haven’t come through yet!
Several people I know are on it, but it’s been pretty hectic so they haven’t had time to send them all out yet…

Has anyone here gotten one yet from Google or otherwise??
I was on the original Google waiting list before the IO convention, and I signed up with 12 E-mail Addresses… Can I really be so unlucky?

    Maybe so….

But no fear, I’ve got someone who said they’d drop me one, but they are at work atm.

  35. Jason September 30, 2009 at 2:31 pm

Oh and Please RT this if you can, thank you all!!

  36. Jason September 30, 2009 at 2:09 pm

I will only get 40 and so should each of you!
But after that 40 It’ll run out in a few days(Guessing)

So If anyone here gets one, really do share around with us. I’ll give 100% here that I can!

  37. Jason September 30, 2009 at 12:42 pm

Leave your E-mail Address here and I will send you an invite!

Or If you subscribe in the upper right you will GET AN INVITE FOR SURE.
Subscribing will let you receive updates from the site, (It’s feedburner for those that know what I’m talking about) But I don’t want to force anyone, so it’s optional.

  38. Jason September 24, 2009 at 7:15 am

Mashable just did a story about this very subject.
A Bank sues a gmail user because the Bank sent confidential information to that user by accident.

  39. Jason August 3, 2009 at 9:36 am

I really like this program. You can even use it to send Files to Virus Total to be checked out for viruses!

  40. Jason (JHawk) July 7, 2009 at 11:27 pm

Another Test Comment… Just making sure the site works before launch!

  41. Jhawk July 2, 2009 at 9:48 pm

I really like using it for a reliable smtp relay. A lot of firewalls and other devices do not have the ability to be fully configured and this solves that problem!

  42. +Jason December 23, 2011 at 4:50 pm

Lol, thanks, I’ll make sure to get it right next time! 😀

  43. +Jason October 21, 2011 at 12:20 am

    I responded above…

  44. +Jason September 12, 2011 at 8:06 am

No, in this case /domain and /add tells the program “net user” to add dirtyhacker to the domain (That you are authenticated on)

  45. +Jason September 12, 2011 at 7:59 am

Yes, it wouldn’t be very hard to do that

  46. +Jason August 4, 2011 at 7:30 am

Yea, I was fighting it for a long time myself, reading the is extremely tedious… but it paid off!

  47. +Jason June 9, 2011 at 10:36 pm

Thanks for the correction! I get a little dyslexic sometimes!

  48. Jason February 15, 2011 at 9:11 am

mojodo, I looked into this, and how can you do that from Group Policy?
I don't even see an obvious way to make that happen.

  49. Jason October 10, 2010 at 6:53 pm

True, that's one way to do it. Now how many actually do I wonder? I know of at least 12 small to medium businesses who have the guy who is "Good at computers" the admin of their network.

One of them has over 100 workstations. If you're a "roaming" tech like I was, you'd know how many are out there. I also have it on good authority that a specific large credit company is also set up this way.

But in short Mojodo is absolutely right, but how many do it that is what I ask?

  50. Jason February 2, 2011 at 1:58 pm

It was a limited time run in 2009 by Zanga… there was only a 48 Hour window when you could get it, BUT I would watch for the anniversary date of when the Baby Elephant came out to see if they bring it back. You know the circus only comes once a year…. 😉

  51. Jason January 18, 2011 at 7:56 pm

Good thing you're here reading about shortcuts in windows then.
I enjoy intelligent responses like these, they provide amusing insight into the short sightedness of some people.

  52. Jason January 13, 2011 at 4:18 pm

What Link? I just set up a new Gmail, went to labs, added the add any gadget by url labs feature, went to settings, pasted this url in… *WITHOUT QUOTES* and it worked EXACTLY as expeced, Mr. Dissatisfied.

Did you check the URL? Can you give me an error message? Or a reply back to this comment?

  53. Jason January 10, 2011 at 11:12 pm

I just verified a new site about 30 seconds ago, so I know this still works!

  54. Jason December 31, 2010 at 1:30 am

  55. Jason December 19, 2010 at 1:01 am

Wow, your right! It's been so long I've forgotten about that! I remember I made one to go to the network interface properties from the desktop on Windows 2000… lol Those were the days…

  56. Jason December 7, 2010 at 10:02 pm

Yep! Sure did, but Windows didn't, and that's what this article is about.

I would make an article about something cool in Linux, if there was anything that was both new and cool. Unfortunately Linux already has about everything you can imagine, except large market share on desktop operating systems. So sadly until that day arrives, I'll be focusing on Windows here.

I'm a Linux fan, but I understand that everyone is not.
IMO there are too many distros, if there were only 1 that received everyones attention, I believe it would own hands down. I think Linux's time is still emerging however. Once 90% of applications are web-based, Windows may very well go bye bye, Or at least, open source! 😀

  57. Jason October 5, 2010 at 8:47 am

Sir, I believe you're from the small southern island just of the coast of Youtube….

  58. Jason October 3, 2010 at 10:54 am

Yes it looks like a problem in the Facebook cache of the old post. I am going to ask on the FB developer forums if there is a way to refresh the old post images cache on facebook. I can't find anything about cache control. IT APPEARS to be all automated…

  59. Jason September 10, 2010 at 11:48 am

That's weird because it's there for me, can you explain a bit further?

  60. Jason August 27, 2010 at 9:42 am

It doesn't look like you'll need one! They've launched with most of the features!

I tried e-mailing you, but I got no reply, sorry!

  61. Jason August 16, 2010 at 11:34 am

I still have this drive and I use it sparingly because of the clicking! Please keep me informed and I will also test out the new firmware here!

  62. Jason Green June 9, 2010 at 10:12 am

Wow really? I didn’t even know they had CPM ads, I’ll look into that?
But if they do have CPM ads, why do they use Google Ads on their own homepage?

I’ll need to investigate a bit more! Thanks Clint!

  63. Jason Green March 12, 2010 at 11:49 pm

    Hello to you too!

  64. Green_CompleX March 6, 2010 at 7:47 am

    Yeah, I heard about that!

I like how google moves fast when a problem comes up, they don't take stuff like that sitting down!

Sorry that my sites a mess, I'm moving servers around… broken images… broken images… gotta get those fixed…. 😛

  65. Jason March 2, 2010 at 1:03 pm

Actually, it is quite permitted. I enjoy Swift, and I would recommend it, however, I don’t feel I need to promote it on the footer of every single page across my site. If I was a theme designer, I wouldn’t mind. But I also can’t control what is on the swift themes website after a year or two, and I wouldn’t want to be linking to the site then. I linked to a bad site in footer before that nuked my google rating, and I’m much more aware of who I link to now.

You could have used the contact form instead of posting this on a random page tho 😛
    But Thanks for the feedback!

  66. Green_CompleX January 10, 2010 at 3:37 am

Hey, It works in Vista as well I believe, however don't try it on the 64bit version unless you know what you're doing!!

  67. Green_CompleX January 10, 2010 at 3:37 am

Hey Bluesky, thanks for stopping by!
Invite has been sent! I hope you stick around! We are starting to build a strong community! Don't forget to subscribe!!!

  68. Jason October 15, 2009 at 10:50 pm

  69. Jason October 7, 2009 at 2:49 pm

If you do please send me one too, I’m beginning to think that mine is broken… 🙁

I’m going to ask @twephanie and see if hopefully I can get a response about my situation…

  70. Jason October 6, 2009 at 1:38 pm

Half is good! But I hear through the grapevine that they are starting to give people 100 invites! That’s a RUMOR, just to clarify. I’ll let you know when I hear it from a reliable source!
I’m giving 100% (-1) for you guys here.

  71. Jason October 5, 2009 at 1:41 pm

I looked on the interwebs and cannot find anything either confirming or otherwise, if invited people can invite more.

Google never said there is 100,000 people limit. Only that they were sending out 100,000 invites. 100,000 * 8 is 800,000 People. Why would they open it up to 800,000 and stop there? That’s almost a million, might as well let everyone in anyway, the point I’m sure, is to stagger people onto the network. Imagine if Twitter opened up and on the first day 1 Million people signed up. It would crash and everyone would hate on it. It grew gradually as it “caught on”. Well Google wave doesn’t have to catch on, people are beating the doors down to get in. I’m pretty sure that’s why it’s taking so long to get in, and why I think everyone will get 8 invites. They probably just send them out really slowly to prevent overloading the system. Anyone remember when gmail went down the other day? I bet they were getting their routers ready for the new load on the system….

  72. Jason October 5, 2009 at 5:42 am

Yeah, that’s why I’m not leaving the Pic up long…

And yes, I’m wearing out my Gmail checking it so often I’m sure!

    This is crazy….

  73. Jason October 2, 2009 at 7:27 pm

Mine is in Processing, the Message from Google is this: “Invitations will not be sent immediately. We have a lot of stamps to lick. Happy waving!”
My Invitation is en queue, so it should only be a matter of time now…

  74. Jason October 1, 2009 at 2:16 pm

Thanks, I got a new lead from a developer, She had a few extra she said she didn’t know what to do with. WOW. I remember this same fiasco with Gmail Invites…. I understand why they do it, but that doesn’t mean I like it!!

  75. Jason October 1, 2009 at 1:52 pm

My contacts are letting me down! How Flaky! I really want to help you guys out so you’d come back to my site more often! I’ve got some really good information I want to share with the world. Thanks for your support guys! I swear I’ll share my invites on here, I’m just dying with anticipation!

  76. Jason September 30, 2009 at 3:04 pm

    LOL @Josh 😛
@DrakeDrake We still have a few hours to go before they are all sent out to the seed inviters.

  77. Jason September 30, 2009 at 2:47 pm

WEEELLLLL the reason to RT is to let more ppl in to share, thus increasing your odds of getting an invite… That only makes logical sense!? I mean the invites from Google aren’t even sent out yet! Am I’m only going to get 40, I didn’t think I was asking too much. But It doesn’t bother me, I really do only want ppl to RT if they like the site. I’m sure it’s not for everyone, I mean this isn’t a blog about My Little Ponies, it’s a tech blog!

  78. Jason September 30, 2009 at 1:57 pm

Thanks! Sorry if I did this in a rush, things are moving pretty fast aren’t they?

  79. Jason September 30, 2009 at 12:30 pm

Thanks, you’re first on my list!
